Martin's Story
Enlisted in the Marine Corps after high school graduation. I was discharged in 1972 and attended Pan Am for two years after that.
Worked for a maquiladora in Reynosa for a few months and then for 13 years as a surveyor for an oil exploration company. I got married in 1988 and so I left the oilfield to stay closer to home. Owned and operated my own beekeeping/crop pollination company for awhile. ...Expand for more
We moved to Michigan (wife's hometown) in 2006 with our son Charlie (born in 1990}. I found a job as a youth counselor for five years with Starr Commonwealth of Albion in 2007 and did that for five years. Since, I've been employed as a property appraiser and assistant assessor for local cities/townships and am currently attending a State of Michigan class for certification as a Level II Assessor.
