Marv's Story

January 2016- Bowled a 288 last week. Closest I've come yet. Took back up the sport after a 20 year absence. AVE 196 so far. I'm two trimesters away from being a great grand dad! I guess its time to get old... not! You guys if you want to get a hold of me I'm on Facebook. Im not a member here. My has time fly'd. I have 11 grandchildren. Two graduated from College. One in college at U.C. Riverside, (on the Dean's list) and one in 6rd grade. And my baby (35) has two Darling Little ones. 2 and 5 Older daughter has 7, My Son with 3. My baby is a dental hygienist in Hemet. I'm so proud of her! Divorced from Melinda Price 19 years now. Sadly Melinda passed away in April of 2014.. I Keep busy with my business. (Google westway marketing) I have won several national awards and have been featured in national trade publications. I always wanted to be an artist. Now I are one :O) I had one teacher that didn't think I'd ever amount much. Come to think of it some girlfriends thought the same too :O) My new passion is traveling tournament senior softball. . You'd be amazed. No couch potatoes there. I still love Drag Racing but just a spectator now. I do enjoy the perks of the past though. I have been able to get passes for the races at Pomona. Doug Herbert in Top Fuel is the best guy I know in the sport. Linda Vaughn is the best too. I'm lead usher at my church and It seems other than a good woman I have been really blessed. Have a good one :O) Very active. I play golf when I can. Play softball regularly as long as the knees hold out. I play competitively on Mondays at Big League Dreams in Perris. Its a 55 and older made up of 8 teams. We start again in September. I'm avoiding the knee repacement cuz I bowl on a Senior scratch league in Murrieta on Thursday. Im at a 201 average right now. My high so far is 264. I still do my Senior Softball tournaments and run an adult softball league on Thursday nights. I competed in the senior olympics in Hemet last year. Won gold in football throw and bowling. This year i'm going to do the discus too. Lots of grandchildren stuff (too long here) You can catch me on Facebook

Bowling is a game, for me, of ups and downs. I have been struggling of late. Primarily because I have problems of adjusting to the ever changing lane conditions. That plus, I admit, I have issues picking up one pin spares.
