Mary's Story
Life
My name is Mary Arlene (Austin) Lookabill. I moved from Indiana to PA between my Junior and Senior year of high school and missed all of the Bethany High School kids tremendously. I attended Piedmont Bible College in Winston-Salem, NC and there I met the most fabulous man in the world. Of course, I married him and we have been together for almost 35 years (on 7/31/06).
We have four children: Matthew-33, Austin-30, Mary-Royce-28, and T.J. (Theresa Jean)-21. The two girls still live at home along with my oldest daughters 4 y/o son. The girls are working full time and trying to finish their college educations. I have a total of four grandsons. My grandchildren are Mason-12, Jacob-11, Xavier-4...all living in NC with my oldest son. Demetri belongs to Mary-Royce and he is 4 going on 15. I have the most amazing grandchildren...possibly because I have the most amazing children.
Earl and I work for a drug and alcohol Christian Regeneration Center and have been here for 14 years. He pastors the church and oversees the other two campus pastors as well. I am his secretary and we absolutey love the work! We stay busy mini...Expand for more
stering to the 60 plus men in the program and their families when they visit or call. The men live here on the farm for nine months for the first phase of the program. (They have the option of staying on for an additional year for more intense training.) God is so good and it is wonderful to see men's lives changed on a daily basis. We will soon have a women's program on our campus and are excited about that.
I was a stay at home mom while my husband was in the Air Force, and then I began teaching first grade in Christian schools. I worked as a bookkeeper for an accountant for 13 years ( I know some of my math classmates and teachers all just passed out!); began at Faith Farm as their bookkeeper then moved to our local high school as the bookkeeper (3 1/2 years) when the Farm suffered some cut backs. I am now back working with my husband and we love the fact that we are together all day everyday.
Yes, I still ramble on when I am excited and then... quiet and reserved the rest of the time. I would love to hear from some of you to catch up on what you have done, where you have been, and what is going on in your life now.
