Mary's Story
Life
I am married just over 22 years this year, 2009, and we have four kids. I finally got my degree in December 2004, only 21 years late! As I write this, I am getting my masters. I may be a late bloomer, but I do love school. Pity I didn't when I was young! What a twit!
I write. Mostly I do a more modern interpretation of Donna Reed - but you know - I don't use an apron. My Mom will buy me one every year to no avail. I haven't written in awhile as I am too busy with the full time job and the night school. I hope to get back to it eventually.
We move almost constantly, and we just left Carlsbad, California - which I will forever love - for upstate New York, which I now refer to as Canada, Junior.
I used to say that I would love to come home to New York, but I have to tell you -- I now wish that I could be forever in SoCal - I was assimilated and resistance was futile! Why would anyone leave paradise? It would have to be something amazing to get my keister out of here. Amazing ended up being the Albany/Troy/Schenectady area! Not really that amazing. I will adjust, though!
I don't make the choices here, though. My husband is the wage earner so you never know.
He better never leave me alone with these four! I tell you this, no custody battles here! If ever he comes home and says "Honey, I met someone new." I'd say, "Okay. but you're the better parent. You and Bimbella take the kids." Then - it's a ticket to the west coast again. Consequently, he's mine forever! There's nothing to str...Expand for more
ike fear into the hearts of parents like four teenagers!
I have stayed in touch with some forever friends, haven't with most of you. If you'd like to get in touch, please do. I am at mebd at comcast dot net. You can't express it regularly.
Hope you are all well, Mary

My biggest crush? Are you serious? I was so shy around men, I was NOT Donna Juan. My husband is only my second boyfriend, and he's working out well. I believe that my dating career would be considered highly limited.
I don't know who inspired me most. I guess that they all did in a way, with the exclusion of math. That inspired me to heights of fear and loathing. I would like at this time on the very slim possibility that he's reading this to thank a certain someone who made it possible for me to get out of Algebra!
Like most of you, I believe that as long as I could guarantee that my husband and kids would still line up in my life where they did, I would do it all again. I would only if I had the knowledge that you have after a few years. So, seeing as how it's not only not possible, but strictly impossible, sure, I'll go for it!
My craziest memories would be crazy, but seeing as how when you're in HS you think you're the only one, and blah, blah, blah, so I'll keep them to myself. They're probably not too crazy, but these memories are mine! I like to console myself by thinking there was a wild time in my life, even if my wildness is a trip to the mall for these kids.
Well, to whomever is reading this, be well. Mary
