Mary Hodges:  

Life Nickname Ginger, after graduation attended U of M graduating in 1972 with a BSN (Nursing). Mom died 10 days before grad., moved to Vallejo, California. Worked as an R.N. at Napa State Hospital, John Muir Hospital, and as a PHN, RN for Solano County Health Department. Met John David Hodges (David) at 1st Baptist Church Young Adult class. Married on June 17, 1978. Dad died in 1982. Moved with husband to Tom's River, N.J. in 1982 (June). Elizabeth Christine, our daughter, was born on August 26, 1985. She was a month premature, but a keeper! I returned to my profession when Elizabeth turned 18 months. I worked as a parttime evening Charge Nurse of a small hospital and E.R. in Glen Rose, Tx. in 1987. I quit for a while in 1990 when she started Kindergarden. My niece came to live with us for a while in 1991. I returned to work for the Tx. Health Dept. in 1991. I found the job I could hate so I left there to be Director of Nursing of K-Care Home Health Agency. Once we got this new company up and running , I returned to parttime status as the Director of Education. I did all In-Service and Home Health Aide training and certification. Opening new cases to the agency, home visits and liasion/ PR. Unfortunately, Medicare regulation changes implemented retroactively killed off our very honest agency and my job was eliminated prior to the agency being boug...Expand for more
