Mary Sue Covington's Story
Attended High Point College, Patrick Henry Community College, Virginia Western Community College. Worked as a secretary, a Certified Medical Records Transcriptionist, and a bank computer operator. Retired but still working. Got married and inherited 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Have 1 dog, 3 cats. Love my cats!!!! Avid camper. We have a seasonal unit at Middle Creek Campground, Buchanan, Va.
Next chapter - cats down to 12 (was 8 but two cats AWOL returned and 2 neighborhood
ferals took up residence. Camper sold, down to one car. Working on house - all "old thin...Expand for more
gs" need a little repair work every now and then. Still working parttime at The Glebe. It's nice
to have somewhere to go other than the drugstore, grocery store, post office, dentist or
doctor.
Things have changed since this synopsis. I have been widowed about 10 years now. The dog passed away,; the 3 cats became 30, down to 21 right now. My part-time job at the bank became a part-time job at The Glebe Retirement Community which is only 5 minutes from my house. The campers have been sold; my pickup truck has been sold. And I am contemplating selling the house (been here 30 years).
