Mary's Story
Life
In a blink of an eye, our time has flown bye.......I am now very happily married 17 years with 3 wonderful children, 1 girl (16), 2 boys (14 and 11). I am currently employed with an Airline at Midway Airport.
After High School, I attended the American Academy of Art for 2 years. After that, my mother passed away and I moved to Dallas, Texas where I attended El Centro College for Voice. Worked there for 2 years and be it ever so humble, there's no place like home. Needless to say, I came home. I continued to work for my father. My daughter was born on February 24, 1985. My son followed the very next year, October 29, 1986. Aftr the two were born, I attended the Sawyer College of Business. There I earned a Certificate of Completion for Administrative Assistant (...Expand for more
glorified name for Secretary). They placed me at an Advertising Agency in Chicago where i worked for 10 years...where I put my art experience to true use. Just recently, back in August of 1999, we lost a major account and there was a big layoff. I was part of that. Two months later a friend of mine offerred me a job with an airline and I accepted. I've been there a year now and it's a wonderful job. So, there you have it! Oh, by the way, I met this guy, back after i got back from Texas, his name is Alfredo, and just for the record, He was a wonderful father and husband a girl could ever ask for. Sadly to say, he passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2001 after sustaining head trauma from a beating. He was in a coma for 7 weeks. My children and I will miss him terribly.
