Mary's Story
Hi, I live in Niles, OH and I'm recently retired. I'm married, have three children, two daughters and a son, seven grandchildren and three bonus grandchildren.
My husband, Dick, served in the USAF for 20 years. We left KC in 1973 to live the next two years in Taipei, Taiwan and we were fortunate enough to have been able to travel most of Asia. It was a wonderful 2 years. Then we moved to Rome, NY to live the next 20 years. I fell in love with upstate NY even thought the winters were long, they were still beautiful! ss country skiing two blocks from my front door and down hill skiing about three miles away! We lived at the foot of the Adirondak Mountains! We have now lived in Niles, OH for the past 18 years.
We vacation in Maine each year, wishing we could afford to buy the beach house we rent! I'm planning on doing a bit more traveling now that I'm retired, including a few more visits back to KC to see my brother, nieces and nephews.
