Mary's Story
I married Gary Miles and moved to Oregon in 1978. I had 3 children who are all very good people. My husband died of cancer in 2005. I was a housewife and stayed home to raise a family. I remain in contact with a few friends from high school, but would like to see how everyone else is. I have very good memories of the years at BHS and hope everyone else does also. We grew up in a very good time. I am still in Oregon, and hoping to hear from some of my old friends at Bloomington High. ur messages and I will get back to you. I am dealing with lung cancer. I have had chemotherapy and radiation, and it has shrunk, so will wait to see what comes next. Maybe more chemo if and when it starts growing again. Or maybe they will come up with some new type of targeted treatment, and I'll see where that takes me.
I'll never forget the pep rallies and the rides to the football games on the bus as we cheered ourselves on through the city we were going to play at. What great times!
I always wanted to be a mother when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right. I love being a mother..
