I lead a very quite life with my dog, Pappy, a beagle-dachshund mix and Rosie, long haired chihuahua. i was born and raised in Charleston, WV. At the age of 18 i moved to Jamestown, NY, where i lived for 35 years, moving to Las Vegas, NV, in August 2000. i have three children, 2 girls and a boy. i have 4 grandchildren. Sean, 17, in Warner Robin, GA. One in Odessa, TX and 2 beautiful little amerasian girls in Thailand. so they are ages 17 - 7 - 2 and 2 mos. i worked with the public all my life and i think i am just burnt out, because i rarely leave the apt. i like my solitude. i had my first job when i was 14 yrs old at Shoney's Big Boy Restaurant, affectionately called Hodo's in Charleston, WV, on Kanawha Blvd. oh the good...Expand for more
ole days. i attended Stonewall Jackson High School Class of 1964. i no longer work. i am on disability because i have COPD, which for me is emphysema. i did it to myself (smoking). if u do not smoke do not start. even with the COPD i continued to work until the economy got so bad and i got laid off. i took my disability and my unemployment. when my unemployment ran out, i decided to retire. it is to difficult for me to get around. it is too far between bus stops and by the time i get there i am gasping as if i am going to die. i can't afford the meds at the moment, when i can it will be better. oh well enough of the negativity. i like my life. i miss my family, but i cannot go back east, i can't ever nor do i want to shovel snow ever again. i lived about 2 hrs south of Buffalo, NY, and well i think we all know what winter is like in Buffalo. Here we have about 3 months of cool weather, but never like back east. Would be nice to spend a holiday with the family. Can't afford airfare. Was in WV 4 yrs ago went to see my brother before he died. Was in NY June 2009, to meet my new granddaughter from Thailand, named after me, her name is Mary Lalita. Also to see my husband who was in a nursing home there. Unfortunately my husband passed away Feb 2010. Two months short of his 89th birthday. Life is good. i like my life, i love God, he walks with me everywhere i go and takes care of me. What more can a person ask for, but to have God with them everyday.".
