Hi All
Where do I start? I've been spending the last 17 years trying to figure out if that 27 inch waist I thought I once had was a dream or not! Not much to tell right now, divorced, two great boys aged 16 and 13, 1 dog, 2 cats and an occastional foster mother to whatever stray the boys bring home - although I can only blame myself for the two water turtles I felt sorry for in Chinatown (a warning - do not bring them home! They grow to a foot long, are very smelly, and I had to pay $200.00 to fly them to a turtle sanctuary in Florida). I've lived in West Brighton, SI since '94 and love it here - its still a good old Staten Island neighborhood, and so far we are holding our own against the builders and overdevelopment. y old colonial and dealing with 80 year old everything in the house. The house is always full of neighborhood kids who make a mess but come in pretty handy when the groceries need to be brought in. It was also the first Staten Island home of SI Newhouse, so I'm hoping that the fact that a billiionaire once lived there will eventually mean I will win the lottery someday. Its a running joke in my home that everytime something breaks, you can hear a disembodied voice saying "Oy Vey, what is it now???" I'm a paralegal at AIG downtown and work my butt off trying to bring home the bacon (and fry it up in a pan!) but life is good. Sadly both parents are gone and it's hard to be an orphan even at our age, but I have a lot of good memories of the folks and half of my 7 siblings are still living in the tri-state area.
