After graduating, went to VC for two years, work at Hospital Ventura county, then became a Driving Instructor. (truck driving) for females only at Oxnard College. worked there for two years before becoming one of the first female truck drivers in the county. I've driven professionaly for almost 30 years, rock, sand, gravel and cement, liquid and bulk, now drive for the Oxnard School Dist. a transit 84 passenger bus. I have probably taken most of you grandchildren to and from home. I reside here still in lovely Oxnard. I have two wonderful boys that have remain by my side during two dangerous dances with cancer and a terrifying accident where I flipped a Semi-truck over 2 1/2 times, and lived to talk about it. I continued to drive trucks after and kind of semi retired on to the buslines, of coach and school. I look foward to retiring maybe this year and seeing everyone for the class reunion. I always wanted to be a Nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were rite.
