Mary Jo's Story
Life
I married David. We live in the St. Clair area. Dave is a mailcarrier in Rogersville. I earned a master's degree in education from ETSU and have taught first grade at Rogersville City for about 22 years. We have 2 children and will soon be grandparents. Our son plays baseball ever chance he gets therefore we spend a lot of time around the baseball field cheering for his team. We have fond memories of our high school days and try to keep in touch with those friends if possible. I still enjoy "girl's night out" with old high school friends. They are the best.
College
I attended WSCC for 2 years. Married...Expand for more
and worked for 4 years then returned to ETSU to finish my bachelors degree in elementary education. After teaching several years, I returned to ETSU evenings to complete my masters degree in Reading/Storytelling. I enjoy teaching at RCS.
Workplace
I worked as a paraprofessional in special education at Bulls Gap School from 1975-79. I went back to school,ETSU, to finish my degree and began teaching at Rogersville City School in 1982. I taught second grade my first year and after that moved to first grade. I have been there ever since. I went to night school at ETSU to earn my Master's degree. I love what I do.
