Mary Leigh's Story
Mary Leigh lives in Toronto, Ontario and is married with three grown children. Her schooling includes Jefferson High School, Wheaton College, Hollins University, and The Free University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She continued graduate studies at The Ohio State University where she received the PhD in computing and the arts. Currently Mary Leigh is Professor of Culture and Technology at York University, Toronto, Canada.

st Africa, on a social media development capturing Ugandan heritage sites and oral stories from those that have lived their lives in the shadow of the sites. She travels to Uganda to continue project work with collaborators from the museum and the York University Institute for Research on Digital Learning.
She and her family own a property in Craig County, Virginia where they do Wildlife and Quail Restoration working with the Virginia and federal governments: this has become a major commitment. This intersects with the work of Preserve Craig (County, Virginia).
