Mary Lou's Story
I taught elementary school in Michigan until 1973 and then moved to the Twin Cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis with my then boyfriend, Larry, a chemical engineer, and now husband of 36 years. After marrying, I taught for 4 years before the birth of my daughter, Heather in 1980. We moved to Decatur AL in 1981 and my son, Matthew was born there in 1982. We moved back to the twin cities in 1985 nd have lived in our home since then. I went back to work part time for a while, then full time in '95. I presently have my own busines...Expand for more
s as an Orton-Gillingham Reading Therapist worknig out of my home. Heather has a criminal justice degree and works as a corrections officer in our county jail. Matthew is a lawyer in a large firm in Minneapolis. We are pleased to have them both in the ares, as Matt has wanderlust and served in Afghanistan, went to the Defense Language School in Monterey, CA, taught English in Seoul, where we attended his wedding to our beautiful daughter-in-law, Jaehyun. He has travelled extensively. Retirement is approaching and will be welcome.
