Mary Davidson:  

Following graduation, I enrcolled at ECC & obtained an AA degree in Nursing in 1974. I worked at the old Church Home Hosp, where I had worked as a "pinkie" during high school. I married in November of 74, & moved to Ft. Sill, OK,(husband was in mil. intell.) (I know it's an oxymoron); where my daughter was born the following year. Husband was transferred to Ft. Meade, and my son was born a yr. later. During my second pregnancy, my husband had an affair & we separated & later divorced. I raised the kids while working at Johns Hopkins Hosp, first in a medical unit & then for 22 years in child psychiatry, which I fell in love with. During this time I attended the College of Notre Dame of MD part time, and obtained my BSN. In 2002, I remarried a wonderful gentleman, I met on Singles Catholics.com (which I think has changed names). My husband had an established medical practice in Danville, VA (at VA / NC) boarder & I moved there / here. I returned to school and obtained my MSN, obtaining a FNP. I currently am teaching coping skills as an alternative to the use of pain meds in arthritis as part of a research study being conducted by Duke (whom I work for) & SUNY. I l...Expand for more
