Ted's Story
Life
After St. Agnes High I enrolled in State University at Canton, NY for a 2 year Associate degree in Agriculture. After graduation in 1952 I was drafted into the US Army and headed to Korea. In July 1953 I was wounded and returned to us and finished my tour in Sept. of 1954. Met a girl and married 1n July 1955. Next year will be our 50 year Anniversary. After the Army I erolled at State Un. At Buffalo, graduated 1957 and took a job in Rome N.Y. as Industrial Arts teacher until 1964. Took a job at Kodak Rochester and retired 1991. During those years we had 9 children and now have 11 grandchildren. Live now in Melbourne, FL
School
Kindegarten through 3rd Grade at a Catholic grammar school in the Bronx(1936 - 1939). 4th and 5th grade at a rural school in upstate NY. St. Agnes (1950). Two year Associate Degree in Agriculture at Sate University at Canton, NY.(1950-1952). After serving in the Army I went to State University at Buffalo under GI bill for 3 years earning BS in Education.(1954-1957). Took graduate courses in education after that and taught Junior High at Rome, NY for 5.5 years until 1964.
Workplace
First real job after college was teaching at a Junior High School in Rome NY as an Industrial Arts teacher for 5.5 years. (1958-1964). Then worked for Eastman Kodak as a plant designer for 29 years (1954- 1993). Retired in 1993 and moved to Melbourne Beach, Florida. Presently, doing part time work as a maintenence person at a Home owners Association and various volunteer positions for church and community.
Military
Basic training at Ft. Dix, NJ. Overseas out of Seattle to Korea.(1952-1953). Wounded and reassigned to Ft. Lee, Virginia. Discharged after 21 months of service in September 1954.
