Life I got a request to complete this so I will. . . 2 months out of H.S. I joined the Coast Guard. Im glad I did - it was worthwhile and not at all like the typical "military" (or other branches) in that it was a normal job (but keep in mind I was never stationed on a ship) that only required you wear a uniform or at least it was before 9/11. . . that was rough day. I went to college while in which worked out b/c Uncle Sam paid for it and I used the GI Bill to pay for Graduate school (MBA) when I completed my military contract. I met my husband during that time and married him (6 weeks after we met) on a beach in Kauai, Hawaii! Word of advice- don't try to plan a wedding in 3 weeks unless you really want to! Although he's a little older than I, I definately don't regret it - we've been together for 9 years this year! I think that my youth and his wisdom make for an interesting lifestyle.
