June 2015 Members of the Class of 1965! Here is your chance to celebrate! Actuarial tables notwithstanding, we are NOT headed toward the last round-up. Indeed this gathering of the clan, geared as always to Hinsdale Central’s Homecoming, may not even be your final opportunity to see old friends. (But why push our luck?) In a life-affirming feat of remembrance and celebration, this is yet another opportunity for the proud alumni of Hinsdale Township High School’s largest graduating class to reunite. And this time we’re going for the gold: the 50th anniversary bash! You can check this off your bucket list! This year’s pleasure-packed reunion is set for the weekend of September 25, 2015. For the golfers, Friday afternoon offers a green-filled outing at Oak Brook Hills beginning at 1 p.m. ($50 additional fee). Tony Porterfield can answer golf-related questions. The fun continues on Friday night with an informal get-together at the Arabian Knights farm in Willowbrook, IL, complete with a light meal and a cash bar. The festivities continue on Saturday night at the Hinsdale Golf Club with a buffet dinner, cash bar and entertainment. Saturday’s event is business casual. To commemorate this weekend, a souvenir picture will be taken. You can have a copy for $10. A keepsake reunion book directory and snazzy LXV 50th Reunion T- shirt will be provided to each Saturday evening attendee (LXV Classmates only). In order to make the directory as complete as its famed 1975, 1985, 1990, 1995 and 2005 predecessors, we need your answers to the enclosed questionnaire, as well as your and any other LXV classmates’ email addresses (if you didn’t send them after receiving the postcard in April). Please fill out the questionnaire and mail it yesterday (no, tomorrow will be fine). Even if by some cruel fluke you’re unable to attend this gala happening, please give us the data so we can preserve your place in the archives of Hinsdale Central High School. The absolute deadline for returning the questionnaire is August 1, 2015 . We expect an even bigger turnout from our still awesome class of 700+ teenagers--but we need your help to find our missing classmates. If you know the updated addresses (especially email addresses) of any classmates (MIA list enclosed) or know of anyone who recently moved, please put that information on the back of the questionnaire. Here’s even more good news. The package price is a time trip in itself--the same as in 2005! $105 for singles and $175 for couples.
