Mary Elleb's Story
After high school I attended Schoolcraft Community College, than went on to Madonna University. I have a Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting.
After college I worked for Digital Equipment Corporation until 1993. I work in all of their accounting and finance departments.
In 1993 I bought a franchise to sell and service durable medical equipment. The franchise was for the Amigo brand of electric scooter. I operated the franchise until 2001. When I closed I went to work for Laurel Home Health Care selling durable medical equipment. When Laurel closed...
I went to work part time as a audit assistant at Myler and Associates CPA firm in Ann Arbor.
I found full time work as the administrative assistan at Old Saint Patrick's Church in Ann Arbor. I worked there for two years. I loved it! I would still be there if it weren't for the new pastor who came in and cleared house to bring in his own people.
I was out of work for September 2006 til December 2007. During that time I worked three part time temporary jobs. One at the Barnes and Noble in Brighton. The second at Hope Center in Ypsilanti. And finally at Accoutemps in Ann Arbor.
One of my Accoutemp assignments hired me. From December 2007 until May 2009 I worked as the Assistant Accountant at Administrativ...Expand for more
e Controls Management in Ann Arbor Michigan.
In May 2009 I was laid off. I have been spending the summer with my family and looking for a job.
In the summer of 1978 my parents moved to Plymouth. I moved with them and continued to go to school.
In 1981 my dad died and I was the only one at home with my mom. There was really no need for me to move. We lived like roommates. I was going to school and working part time. Then after graduation I was working full time. Finally in about 1985 I moved to an apartment in Westland at Joy and Hix.
On Valentines Day 1987 I met the man who would become my husband, Herb. We met in the Post Bar in downtown Detroit. I was living in Westland, he was living in Jackson. So when we decided to move in together Ann Arbor was a good central location for both of our jobs. So we got an apartment in July 1987, got engaged that Christmas and were marred in November 1988. In July 1988 we bought a house in Whitmore Lake.
We have two sons, 17 and 8.
Herb went to Wayne State and is a Chemical Engineer. He has advanced Multiple Sclerosis. He has not worked outside the home since 1995.
In the yearbook I wrote my ambition was to "love Sunny forever". Well, Sunny died in 1980.
I like to ride my bicycle, read and the outdoors in general.
