Mary's Story
Dec 2012
I am a Mom of 2 amazing daughters & grandmother/Nana of a girl (18) and boy (16). Retired from my job in the Medical Library at Millard Fillmore Hospital,Buffalo, NY in 2005. I was widowed in April 2008 (married to a wonderful man for 40+ yrs) And have relocated to New Port Richey Florida (October 2009), near my oldest daughter with the grandkids.
My best friend in High School is still my best friend now - Marlyis (then Arber).
I have my own Blog
chocolateonthekeyboard.blogspot.com and own 6 domain names that I have been playing with for about 10 yrs. I don't sell anything, just like surfing the net and sharing my webstuff finds.
I also enjoy photography, collecting clipart and digital crafting and share how I do things with graphic/photo editing software with online paper & digital crafting groups.
I am on Facebook and visit there most days, have connected with a few RHS grads, and friends still living in Buffalo. I am despite our past years ...Expand for more
records, a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan. From 1985 to 2005, my late husband and I were season ticket holders. Now that I have moved to Florida, I try to find one game a year that my younger daughter and I can get to to cheer them on. (in 2012, I went to the Bills/Colts game in Indy, in 2011 I went to the Bills/Chargers game in San Diego) And I will be there in Canton Ohio - 2014 to see Andre Reed inducted into the Hall of Fame. I still prefer seeing football games in person vs watching on TV.
Life is Good for me in Florida - I love that I am able to be a part of my grandchildrens lives. But I miss Buffalo and think it is one of the richest poor cities in the USA - & that most people never really appreciate, all it has to offer.
I'm still a member of the Buffalo Canoe Club / Pt Abino, Canada. Just wish I could afford to visit Buffalo more often or that I had a driving buddy and could drive home and enjoy the ride up the coast, especially in the Fall.
