Mary Beth's Story
I am now Mary Simmons. I always know when someone from my past is contacting me when they address me as Mary Beth. Not only has my name changed but, as I hope we all have since high school, I have changed. I am no longer the wild child I once was, or at least not as much;-) I married Jesse Simmons in 88 and am still happily married.
I learned to read as an adult, and now have a BAS in Communications, Masters in Educational Administration and a Masters in Montessori Integrated Instruction. Who knew I would like school! My career in education has been focused on behavior interventions and Montessori curriculum. My husband Jesse also went to high school at Southwest, but not the same years I attended. He is a horticulturist. So, if you have questions about children or plants we are the go to people.

e 4 children. Jesse Jr., who is 29 and currently doing what kids now days do, strive to enjoy life. He quit his job as a chemical engineer and he and his wife are travailing around the world for a year. Our daughter Hailey is 28 years old and a counselor for children whom have been removed from their home. Her Husband is finishing up his PHd in chemistry at the University of Michigan and then they are moving back to Texas. Our Daughters Rachael and Rebecca, twins, are 25. Rachael is in HR and Rebecca has a degree in Health Science.
All but one of my children are married. I am enjoying my adult children and their families. My first grandchild was born this year. I don't mind growing older as long as I have grand babies! I always enjoy the high school reunions, and hope to see more people there each year.
