Mary's Story
Oh My Gosh! It¿s been nearly 40 years since I kicked the dust off my shoes of the Lakeview High parking lot. I have never been on the grounds since that day in June of 1971.
I met my husband in 1971. We were together for 25 years. He passed in 1996.
Married again? I live in a house with 8 closets. ALL of them are mine! I don't cook what I don't like to eat. And any decisions that are made, it's my consequences.
I am a telecommuter for a large company. I am one of the problem solvers. The only commute hazard might be tripping over my dog....Expand for more
Thankfully, I have been blessed with many wonderful acquaintances. Those that are my friends, I cannot begin to extol their importance.
I am not rich. I'm not famous. I don't care about those kinds of things. It's not what you have or your successes that measure a person. It certainly doesn't make you "better." I have no respect for those types of people. Life can deal you an ugly hand in a heartbeat.
I've learned it is how you rise above the disappointments, failures and how you treat those you meet along the way, which marks a success.
