Mary's Story
I went to SHS from 1946 thru 1950. I moved from DeWitt to Stuttgart and was most often called the "Nitwit from DeWitt" by the in-crowd. I was tall, gawky, and probably in today's terms, geeky. I am now widowed, have four surviving children, seven surviving grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. My family lives all over the states: NYC, Fort Worth, Utah, and Rogers, AR. an engaged, occupied, amused and delighted. our junior year, I moved back to DeWitt, graduating from there, and after working a couple of years, I joined the USMC. Met my first husband, father of my five children, there.We married in 1956, and he died in 1964. I remarried in 1968, and my second husband died in 2000. I decided to try to find out about some of my classmates at SHS, and hope maybe somoe of them will contact me. If not, I'll understand completely. Thanks.
