Mary's Story
Well let's see.....I am not the Quiet and Shy girl I was in High School. I am much more out going, not sure if that's a good thing :)
Anywho, Let's make a LONG story short.
Left West Portsmouth in November of 1974...(Yikes)went to Wichita Kansas for a couple years, then to Jacksonville Florida again for a few years, and been in Texas since 1980. I love the warm weather and the opportunities in a BIG city!
I have 2 GREAT kids, a son and a daughter.Got him through college, and our daughter will also graduate from collge this yr.
SO much for using my Cosmetology license I went to Voc Tech for. All my work has been 90% in the Automotive Industry.
Up until last year, I then tried my hand at another passion. I had a Bakery, as I LOVE to bake and was doing quite well, UNTIL Hur...Expand for more
ricane Ike hit, and we got a direct hit from that, and then the recession, so I decided to put this on the back burner until things pick up.
I always had a passion for singing, and NEVER thought my life would take this path, but I now sing with 3 different groups. SO I am BUSY! One group is a all womens chorus, which we have over 100 ladies. We are a competing chorus, so it is alot of hard work, but I LOVE it.
I think I missed my calling to be a Vet. I am on my 3rd Great Dane now. We did a rescue on her 2 years ago. They are like a 2 year old that never grow up, nor picks up their toys!
I LOVE old vehicles, and am restoring a old 1949 Ford Pickup, that has a 327 Chevy engine in it. If it is old and LOUD and has a V8...Yeallllll:)
That's about it for now! Thanks for reading!
