Mary's Story

After the graduation ceremony for Class of '73. I went home to an unexpected party, where I was proposed to by John Carrier, a Fifth Ward boy and also a graduate of Phyllis Wheatley. the military and John joined the Corps of Engineers.. We went overseas several times and retruned home in 2003. I now reside on Galveston Island, where I enjoy both sun and sea. I have many fond memories of Phyllis Wheatley and growing up in Fifth Ward and I now can look forward to learning more about upcoming events and reconnecting at some of those events.
