Maryann's Story
Hi! If you don't remember me - I was the Mascot in 1963. I loved it! I played "Ginger" in the school play
"Life with Father." I remember coming to GHS in November 1959 - a Freshman. Everyone treated me as a friend right from the very beginning! Although - as I had previously attended a Catholic High School, everytime a teacher entered the room, I would stand up. Everyone would laugh at me. I definitely was embarassed - but I soon got over it!
I moved to Delaware in 1966, to North East, Md. in 1970, and back to Delaware in 1976. I have been here for more than half my life, and I still don't feel as though I belong!
I have been married to my husband, Stanley for 32 years. We have 5 children and 16 grandchildren between us
( we both had been married previously). We maintain a camper year-round in Lewes De., where I spend most of my weekends March th...Expand for more
ru November. I am still working as an accounting manager, and I plan to work as long as I can. I need to have "direction" on a daily basis!
Currently, I attend Zumba classes once a week with my daughter Kim, who lives in Delaware. My son Rudy now leaves in Virginia. I also love my WII - which I usually work out with 2-3 times each week in the spring-early fall. Then in the "winter" months, I work out 4-5 times per week - but you wouldn't know it to look at me!
I am looking forward to our 50th Class Reunion in 2013. I cannot believe that 50 yrs have passed. Looking foward to seeing many of you at the reunion.
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were right.
Make home-made bread! "Beating" the dough up is a great stress reliever - not to mention making Great Bread!
