Maryglenn Huffman:  

My story got lost! Let me start again! I went to Longwood College, met and married the love of my life, Edward Huffman and lived in roanoke for 5 more years. We then moved to Norfolk, Va. for a job transfer. In 1972 we moved to a home in Virginia Beach so that our daughter could attend better public schools than Norfolk provided. We had a second daughter and now have two wonderful grandchildren a grandboy who is 9 and a grandgirl who is 5 and a foster grandson who will be 18 in February. I was vp of the National Honor Society when I went back to college at TCC as an adult and have a plaque for that honor. Both my girls attended college. Michelle-Scott went to Old Dominion University and Mari-Carroll to Roanoke College. My passions? My children and grandchildren are my biggest passion. My work as a decorator in our own business was a passion until we closed it and retired almost 4 years ago. We had 3and 1/2 years of retirement when I lost the love of my life, my best friend, my lover, my biggest obssession, Ed Huffman. He left the house to pick up our grandson and when the school called to say the grandboy hadn't been picked up I knew something was wrong. Ed was at a stop light about 4 blocks from home and had a pulmonary embolism that traveled to his carotid artery. He never regained consciouness and I said Goodbye to him on October 5th, 2012. Other passions? Hanging out with friends! We had and I have some really awesome friends from the left coast to the right coast, North to south, Europe to Brazil. I look forward to my family reunion, which we missed this year (2012) when Ed passed away. Next year I will attend sadly without Ed who livened the party with his ...Expand for more
