Maryjane Cole:  

Life After graduation from Morgan Park HS in 1969, I shortly moved to California. I was not into the hippie scene but found California to be paradise. After major struggles financially and academically, I managed to complete college in California and Chicago.I piece-mealed a degree together over a five year night school stint while working full time. I had various 'career' jobs mostly in the social services. My last memorable position was as a Clinical Social Worker specializing in assisting the chronically mentally ill. Earlier, I did alot of work for the Illinois DOC and also later ran my husbands' Psychiatric practice in Florida. Remaining in Florida for the past 20 years, I decided to retire from mental health and related social services and went back to school and received an AA degree in Interior Design. I owned a small company called "Colors by Cole" and designed a Barkery for dogs, a retail store. The Barkery was on National Televison and my design work was published from Vero Beach to Palm Beach. I love to design and decorate but did not enjoy the picky customers so, I sold my store. My husband semi-retired from medicine and we now travel in our motorhome 6 months a year. I never had children. I never wanted any. My hobbies are tennis (my passion) and jogging. I am hooked on hiking and spinning. I have recently hiked Pikes Peak in Colorado for charity. I am lucky to have traveled abroad extensively, and even have been to the Amazon! Now, I plan to try and see as much of the U.S. as possible the next few years. My big dream ...Expand for more
