Marylou's Story
Hi Everyone; After graduation I signed myself out of the school of nursing and began working in the financial field, Married a life long friend, a brilliant man and was blessed with two lovely daughters. Twenty years later we were divorced, remained friends and sadly the Lord called him home . Went back to school, Classes at University of Minnesota, associates degree from Dezanna College in Cuppertino California and finally Bachelor's in both Finance and Accounting from Western CT State University here in Danbury. Classes towards Master's but never completed. An Enrolled agent from the I.R.S., worked in both the public and private sectors, and had my own accounting firm. My oldest daughter is an attorney and has given me two beautiful grand daughters. What joy, the role of a grandparent. ind, from cats and dogs to horses. .I remarried another brilliant man. Unfortunately, he suffered a stroke, so currently am still working part time and caregiver the rest.
Through the years our interests have included scuba diving, (here and in the Bahamas), sailing (we docked our boat down on the sound) both local and ocean as we sailed the New England waters, and down to Bermuda. Antiquing as we live in an old farmhouse, Raising and showing alpacas and RVing. Recently, I took my first cruise. We have been dazzled and amazed by the beauty and majesty and width and breath of this great county and more importantly it's people.
Life is not always easy, but the Good Lord has watched over us, given us the strength and courage to face the challenges, to accept the defeats and to learn from the experiences. The deeper the sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.
We have been Blessed. My wish is that each of you may be Blessed too!
