Matt's Story

After a couple of years at Long Beach Community College, I hired on with Southern California Edison. I started out as a Meter Reader and now am a Lineman and have been one since 1994. In 1992 my then girlfriend (Kathy) gave birth to a daughter (Alexandra). We bought a house in Long Beach in 1995. I was involved in an explosion at ...Expand for more
work two months after moving into our home. I recovered. In December of 1995 Kathy and I married. In 1996 she gave birth to a son (Brandon). In 2006 we moved to Buena Park, where we still reside. I am going on 24 years with Edison. If you are in the Long Beach area and see an Edison crew, look for the old guy, it might be Me:)
