Matt's Story
(2010): I¿m a lot older now, you know. I was being so careful, too. My longtime sweet heart Cindy-Louise has kept me me sane enough to wander out publicly for 27 years. Our son, Ben, is 17, interested in bio-chemistry (& x-box 360 games, and movies); we did the college-scouting trek this summer; Ben's been accepted already into U of New Hampshire; waiting on SUNY-Albany, & UVM.
We live with a cat, on a narrow strip of yard and gardens extending through woods to cornfields along the Connecticut, in what used to be rural Hatfield. Lots of gardens, one vegetable, most perennials.
The Montessori School of Northampton has not yet fired me after 23 years playing in the preschool/kindergarten year after year with 20 3-6yr-olds. Did a prior 15-year stint as a comics retailer, and various other dull office-type jobs before that, being basically otherwise unemployable.

rd shot four people dead at Kent State. Got out of college bearing a major in (comparative) religions and a minor in (social) psych. Lived in a 14-person 3-floor "renovated" ramshackle town house in PhilaDELphia through the Bicentennial, and ran away to Vermont, where I left my heart and joined the vote there to secede from the U.S. Finally left VT for a girl, the wonderful Cynthia Louise, who I met through (gasp) the Valley Advocate classifieds, yes.
So I write songs about geometric solids ("cube, cone, cylinder and sphere...") and the monomial cube ("power of two, the power of two...") and life outside the classroom. I create 'mini-comics', "Walking Man Comics", short essays on life, love, religion and other fantasies. Much of which can be seen in facebook albums, as can photographs I'm compelled to take of sunscapes, children, grown-ups, cats, flowers... compelled, I say. Sometimes I write for the local papers; political diatribes, alas...!
& life, life's what happens while yer busy making other plans... and you?
