Matt's Story
Life
Currently living and working in North West Florida. I left Maine on 10 April 1985 after joining the Air Force and leaving for basic training. After basic training I was stationed in San Vito Italy until September of 1988, got married and and in 1987 welcomed my first son into the world, Michael. After Italy We moved to Warner Robins AFB just South of Atlanta GA where my daughter Amanda was born in 1989. After Warner Robins I moved to Lajes Field in the Portugese Azores in 1993 for one year before returning to Warner Robins Georgia. 8, I was reasigned to Travis AFB, Where Kurt was born, near Sacramento where Stephanie's Dad and Step-mother lived. After five years of California, We made our final move to Eglin AFB Florida where we settled and bought a new house and decided to stay. I retired 1 May 2005 after a full twenty years and countless deployments to the middle east. After retiring from the Air Force I went to work a day later for Cummins Mid-South continuing in the field of power generation, until Aug 18th of '08 when with great hesitation I decided to sign on as Civil Service in my old shop at Eglin AFB, the shop I retired from active duty AF from...the 10 year outlook was more appealing.
