Matt's Story
Life
Life is good right now, got married back in October of 2005. At least I think it was 2005, hopefully my wife doesn't see this.
No kids yet, but we're practicing with our two cats, Jake and Poopy. (Guess which one I named) Not as much responsiblity and you can smack them around ever so often without social services coming up to your door flashing their badges and saying that they need to "talk" with you.
Got myself a new car finally, brand spankin new 07 VW Rabbit. I retired my other car at my apartment which then got towed because they said it had been abandoned. Right, thats because its on my rental agreement. So its now parked in front of my parents house, on the street, still waiting to find out if its going to be stolen again. Who knows? Anyways new rides pretty sweet and gets better gas mileage than a gas guzzling SUV.
Went to the prestigious Johnson & Wales University......which totally sucked ass and dropped out before the begininng of the third trimester. Thought I was going to learn how to cook, but instead they tried to educate me with science and math and shi* I hated during high school. Trust me if I was in any of your classes you know i was falling asleep in class in the back of the room snoring away. Which I still did during college because the damn chef played a mov...Expand for more
ie that was based on the life of a bagel....yeah, a bagel. I mean come on, the dough is made and then shaped, dont forget to punch out the little hole in it, and cooked, blah blah blah and then its consumed by some chick thats slapped a pound of cream cheese on it with a starbuck's coffee in her hand and that my friends is the life of a bagel.
But hey, Someone was desperate enough to higher me when i came back to portland. Of course i was getting paid shi*, i started off at the bottom and worked up to Banquet Chef / AM Kitchen Supervisor, and still getting paid shi*. So after 6 long bloody and hellacious years I threatened to quit for about the 10th time if they didnt give me more money, they didnt, so I quit. Over the course of all the years I worked there I burned myself, worked some yummy 17 and 18 hour shifts, knocked out banquets for 150 people solo in 3 hours , and whacked off a bit of a finger, which grew back...sort of =) but hey it was good times.
Working over at a restaurant over in the pearl disctrict as the pastry chef, more burns but no longer cutting digits off and the wife doesnt freak out as much, so its a fair trade off.
That uh pretty much sums everything up in a nutshell.
One more thing I guess you can't type swear words in these damn bios
How f*cked up is that?
