Matt's Story
Life
I currently live in Jacksonville, Florida with my wife Carla and our four year-old daughter Taylor. I work for Fidelity Information Services as a Senior technical analyst, with a focus on UNIX application testing. My wife and I surf a lot, and I play drums in a local band. That's about it so contact me if we used to hang out, I'd love to hear from old friends.
Military
I went to "boot" in '95 at Great Lakes RTC, Company 142. After "boot" I spent the next year in Groton, Ct. attending BESS (BASIC Enlisted Submarine School for all of you non-Navy...Expand for more
folks) then ET (Electronics Technician) "A" school. My "C" school was at the Trident Training Facility in King's Bay Georgia, after which I transferred back to Groton to serve on the PCU Wyoming (SSBN 742). I qualified Submarines on-board the USS Kentucky (SSBN 737) during a qualification ride in March of '96, then reported back to the Wyoming. I spent three years on the USS Wyoming, then in '98 I transferred to Submarine Group TEN in King's Bay for shore-duty. After six years in the Navy it was time to exit stage left, so now I'm once again a civilian.
