Matt's Story
At best, the following is a thumbnail sketch of "my story"; much that happened is "between the lines"--some of it is just rather tedious stuff, and then some of it just doesn't make for good telling. Like any of us, I suppose. I moved to Parkersburg WV when I was 16, graduated from Parkersburg HS. I married Janice Taylor, and was admitted to WVU on an athletic(gymnastics) scholarship(That was back when you could be dumb as hell, but if you had any type of athletic ability the school was interested in, then you were readily admitted, no questions asked.). Janice and I had a daughter (Kelly) and son(Matt). family practice. Janice and I split-up in '82. I remarried(Marietta, who is also an RN)in '84, and have two stepdaughters--Toni, who is a barber, and Jenny, who works for Delta. I've got FOUR grandkids( sometimes I still find it hard to believe I'm actually a Papa.). I practice medicine in Bristol, TN. Yes, NASCAR fans, that's the home of the world's "fastest half mile"--and believe it or not, I've been here for 21 years, and have never been to a race. Well, that's about it. I would really enjoy getting in touch with old friends and any former classmates who might remember me. I'm as prone to nostalgia as the next person, and I think about my HS years fairly often. It's funny how age does that to a person. those were good years--mostly.
