Matthew Ahlborn:  

Life You may remember me as Matthew Ahlborn, but for the last 15 years or so I have been using my middle name exclusively: Elvis. It wasn't something I shared with a lot of people in high school (for obvious reasons), but I have since embraced it, and the uniqueness has certainly helped me in my career. I am currently the Assistant General Manager of the Fort Wayne Freedom indoor football team (of the Continental Indoor Football League). Simply put, I run the show: the day-to-day operations of the franchise, the staff, the media/public/community relations, and the game day operations when we play. It's the only job I've ever wanted; everything else was just to pay the mortgage. If I won $100 million in the lottery tomorrow, I'd still be at work the next day. Hell, I'd probably just buy my team and keep doing what I'm doing! Previously I was the Assistant GM/Director of Operations with the Fort Wayne Fusion (2007) and the DO with the Green Bay Blizzard Arena Football team (2003-2006). Prior to that I was with the Green Bay Gamblers (USHL) hockey team (2002-2003). I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, and hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio-TV-Film (Media Communications). I worked at the Green Bay FOX-TV affiliate for a year, and hated just about every minute of it. I also did radio for a few years and was a partner in a film production company that produced TV commercials, documentaries and independent films (no, not adult movies).
