Matthew's Story
Life
Whats up everyone? After High school, I went to Carthage College for my freshman year. The following year I transferred to Saint Xavier University. I graduated in May of 2001 in Speech Language Pathology (SLP), and I attended Graduate school at Saint Xavier University to get a M.S. in SLP. I am currently working at speech and language clinic in Skokie, IL specializing in Augmentative and Alternative Communication. The population that I work with range in ages from 2 through 18 (average of 10 or so) with a variety of developmental disabilities (e.g., Autism, Down Syndrome, Ce...Expand for more

) who are primarily non-verbal. This past year (2006) I was offered partnership in the clinic and have become part-owner and clinical director. I have also began lecturing at a few colleges in the area, Northwestern and Saint Xavier (I hope to be teaching a class this upcoming fall semester). In July of 2004 I got married to Ann (my beautiful wife). Currently we are living in Frankfort after just building our house.
