Matthew's Story

I joined the Army 3 days after high school as an air traffic controller. Joined the FAA in 1987 and was sent to Baton Rouge, LA. In 2000 I went to Washington D.C. as a full time Union Rep for Air Traffic Weather systems. I am currently at Jacksonville Air Route Traffic ...Expand for more
Control Center in Hilliard Florida. I work the airspace from Jacksonville to Mobile Bay and out 200 miles in to the gulf. I work the Eglin AFB airspace every Saturday night when they close. I also spent 20 years after high school as a volunteer/contract firefighter/EMT.
