Matthew's Story
Life
I joined the Army straight out of HS. I spent 2 yrs in Germany and then 2 in Ft Lewis, Wa. I got married in Wa. and had three kids, but ended up divorced in '91. I remarried in '94 and have two children from that marriage. I live with my wife Christina in Mesa
with two kids left at home. My oldest son is currently serving in the US Army. My oldest daughter is working as a Pharmacy Technician and my youngest daughter just had my first grandchild, a little girl. I work in the Valley of the Hot Sun since 1989.
School
I went to Blue Ridge HS in Lakeside, AZ for my freshman year then moved to St. Johns, AZ where I graduated in 1983. I spent my time swimming at Patterson's Pond and playing D&D with C...Expand for more
lee, Robbie and the guys. What I learned the most is that SJ doesn't prepare anyone for Real Life! hahaha It was a great town to grow up in for the most part. The teacher who inspired me the most was JC Collings, my Democracy teacher. I remember campaigning for him when he ran for State Rep.
Military
I went to Basic Training in July of 83 at Ft McClellan, AL. I was stationed in Ansbach Germany for two years with th 630th MP Co. I travelled to my homeland in Norway for 11 days while stationed in Germany and had a great time. I enjoyed many a German beer and Fraulein while in Germany. I did my last year and half at Ft. Lewis, WA with the 9th MP Co. Washington was beautiful, but it sure rained a lot.
