Matthew's Story

Life Well...........where do I start. As most of you will realize, I didn't get to graduate from IVC. My parents moved us to Arkansas at the end of my junior year. I graduated with several scholarships for music and track and field, but elected not to go to college because I was already making more money than I thought I would be able to recouperate with a degree. I have been in the Aluminum and Zinc Die casting field since graduation and have moved all over the U.S. and have been in Mexico twice. That is where I met my second wife, Sandra! She is my energy and my reason to keep going, along with my two children Karen and Kevin. I worked in Arkansas for 9-10 years, traveling to many of the companies different facilities. They asked me to move to Mexico for a year or so to rebui...Expand for more
ld 12 machines and straighten out the manufacturing facility. I met my wife shortly after. Then my father died. We moved out of Mexico in 1997 and worked at another facility around San Antonio Texas for a couple of years and that is where my daughter Karen was born. Three months later, the company moved me back into Mexico to build a new facility and we stayed there for 6 years. In 2003, I got tired of being out of the country, with 9/11 having passed, etc. We decided to move to the Northeast away from die casting and try something different. I found another job with a smaller company in die casting. The owner has one facility and we are in the process of upgrading equipment. Life is good! I look forward to hearing from any and all of my old friends and aquaintences. Matt
