Matthew's Story
Life
Alot about me has changed, then there are a few things that haven't changed. I'm still single, still 5ft 2in, however, I'm 140 Lbs of lean muscle. I'm trying to get a new car. I want to get either the new toyota corolla or the new honda civic-they are both very good cars. I don't have any pets. No motorcycle, unfortunately (and I want one so bad-how can I be a biker if I don't have a motorcycle). My face has cleared up, so I'm a little sexy-boy now. I also discovered that I'm part irish-part cherokee. I've grown up alot. My temper has calmed down alot. It takes alot to get me upset anymore. I'm not the loud-mouthed smart-aleck that I used to be. I'm still somewhat of a smart-aleck, but not as much.
School
In high school, my biggest crush for the better part was Alicia Briggs. Then it was Yovan Sihler (too bad I didn't know how to approach women back then and talk to them). Alot of teachers inspired me the most: my ROTC instructors, and the teachers I had during my senior year. I would do it over again, except, I would be smarter about the choices I made, I do alot of things differently.
College
Unfortunaltely, I haven't had the privelege of going to college-but tha...Expand for more
t's okay-the military is going help me out with that. Yes that's right I'm in the military-the U.S. Navy. I've been in for about 8 months now, and I'm still loving it.
Workplace
I'm in the U.S. Navy. I'm a Culinary Specialist (CS)/cook. My day starts at about 0345 in the morning, and doesn't end until about sometime between 6 and 7 pm. Luckily, they're changing my schedule around to where my day ends at about 3:30 pm-4 pm. Being a CS is hard work. You have to get up early, cook meals for alot of people-my ship complements a crew of about 230 people. It can get aggravating at times. But the thing that makes all the aggravation, early mornings, and late hours worth it is the complements you get about the food.
Military
The military was the best thing that happened to me. I'm glad I joined. Boot camp was the toughest part, especially for me-I was the second in command of my division, plus the fact it was integrated, so I was responsible for the actions of about 140 recruits, and whenever they messed up, I got my rear end chewed out up onside and down another, then I would get punished with intense physical training. But it was fun. I wish I could relive those days over again.
