ormally ate lunch alone, and there was only one open table. We all sat down, four guys and two girls, intending to eat and leave quietly. All of a sudden one of the guys said something out of the blue and completely off the wall, and we all started laughing. When we'd calmed down, we got to talking and found that we had a few things in common. We continued to meet for lunch every day after that. We are still friends to this day, and try to keep in touch as much as possible. As far as personal life goes, I wasn't dating anybody until I met the most wonderful girl during a Quiz Bowl Tournament. She was a ninth grader who was helping out our team at a tournament, and I was a junior on the team. We started going out, and stayed together through the remainder of of my high school career and into August. It was then we mutually agreed to part because of career paths. All in all, if I had to do it all over again, I would probably be a bit more social, and not just limit myself to the close relationships. I also would have talked more to the girls I liked that I never could quite get up the courage to engage in conversation. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.
