Kathleen's Story
Life
I worked for Coca-Cola in Philadelphia for 33 years, retiring in 1995 as Director of Human Resources. Received my bachelors degree from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Sciences. My husband, John, and I married in 1965. We have two sons, Geordie born 1978 and Ryan in 1981.John developed emphesemia and had a lung transplant. It was a success and he lived for another 8 years until the anti-rejection drugs took their toll on all of his other vital organs. We lived most of our married life in Warminster, Bucks County, moving to a home in Somers Point, NJ. In 1998 I became a real estate agent in Somers Point, which I did for a year before I married again. My husband, Dick, and I had worked together at Coca-Cola for 17 years when he relocated to Florida and retired. We hadn't communicated for 17 years, when he called to tell me that his wife had passed away. It was a month after my husband, John, died. Dick and I married in March of 2000. He has five children, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. My youngest son married in 2002 and lives in Warminster. He and his wife, Jammie have given me three grandchild...Expand for more
ren, Gavin, Curran, and Kendall. My oldest son, Geordie, lives in St. Paul, Minnesota and is still trying to decide what to do with his life. Dick and I spend out summers in Somers Point entertaining family and friends and the winters in Daytona Beach. We have a house in Somers Point and a condo in Daytona. In the winter in Daytona I volunteer with the first grade class two days a week and also play tennis, golf and bridge. I am also a Minister to the Sick and take communion to three people a week. It is a busy life and I am very happy. God has blessed my children, my grandchildren, and me with good health, so we have lots for which to be thankful. Our phone number in Somers Point (May - September) is 609-601-1919 and in Daytona Beach the rest of the year is 386-255-0957. If you are ever in the area, please call and we can make arrangements to get reacquainted.
My husband, Dick, went to heaven on September 27, 2012. My home in Somers Point, NJ is on the market.
Will keep Daytona Beach as my permanent residence but will be returning to Philly and NJ often to be with my family and friends. Please keep me in your prayers.
