Maureen's Story
Fall of 60 I headed off to Indiana State. I was an Art major & a minor mess. I have lived a very wide spectrum life, traveled, married 4 times ( alot of Karma debts to pay) My fourth marriage has lasted right at 30 years. I have 2 daughters, Naja 12/12/63 and Maijill 4/4/68. Naja lives in Maine, Maijill lives in Virginia. Naja runs personnel for Wal-mart & Maijill runs a branch for BB&T. I have 8 grandkids, 5 still here in Louisville with 3 in Maine. One is living with me as he finishes his Senior year. I am president of the largest AARP in KY and it is a full time job. We keep on top of legislation & issues that effect the over 55 group. We went fishing and camping when Joe was up to it. He passed away 12/15/08 from Prostate cancer. I have 2 cats that t...Expand for more
hink they are furry children. Life has been as kind as it can be for a person in search of her mission on earth. My Mom is atill alive and loving life at 84. She is my idol, she has had set backs but always comes out with grace & resolve. I hope classmates from 59 & 60 will drop me a line. 1/1/11 I have moved to MI to be with a great fella, he is younger than myself. He takes me around everyday & we do fun stuff. Its a pleasant change after Joe being so ill. We fish alot and watch the freighters, some are ocean going & huge. I can look across the river and see Canada, I also got brave and got one of the combination licence so I can cross borders legally....If your ever in Port Huron, give me a shout and we will go eat & visit...my favorite activity...
