After graduating from WVU in 1970, I kicked around ( or more aptly got kicked around!) for a year looking for a teaching position. I finally secured a job in Calvert County, Maryland, where I still reside. My professional career included 16 years as a high school English and social studies teacher, six years in administration , and 14 years in supervision. I loved the students, loved my job, and loved working with the teachers under my supervision, but after 36 years, I was ready to retire. My husband and I enjoy playing bridge, traveling, and reading. I helped to establish two groups of ladies who meet regularly for moral support, socializing, and eating! One group is the JULIETS -'Just Us Ladies Intermittently Eating Together- mostly former English teachers- and a second group called Ladies of Leisure, who are all former teachers, guidance counselors and administrators.
