Maxine's Story
I was born in L.A., went to Rosewood Elementary School, Bancroft Jr. High and Fairfax High. Then got a B.A. in psychology and MSW in psychiatric social work at UCLA. I'm still a psychotherapist and still love it. Currently I facilitate groups for people who've been court-ordered to get treatment for DUIs.
I was married for 27 years and have 3 sons: Adam, 33 yrs. old, is an interventional radiologist in Katonah, New York, is married and has an 18-month old daughter. I just got back from a visiting them. Made me wonder what I'm doing in the desert! Aron is 25 and is a physical trainer in Tucson. He's a fabulous artist and has been a vegetarian since he was 4 yrs. old! Dave is 24 and attends the Eller Graduate School of Business and Law at the U of A in Tucson. He's student council president and also works at SunQuest in the marketing dept.

k Sphinx date orchard with JJ, a 7-yr-old German Short-Haired Pointer from the AZ Animal Welfare League and a 3-month-old chocolate-colored female Chihuahua puppy named Peanut. She doesn't walk, she bounces (and chews everything!) My neighborhood is a nice area, very green, sort of an oasis in the city. Everyone here just got boxes of dates from our trees. These trees grow only in Arizona, which almost makes up for our "quaint" (antiquated) socio-political climate.
I enjoy gardening, baking, hiking, kayaking and crafts. I grow the best tomato bugs around. I'm still singing in the shower and harmonizing to the radio. I love to read, especially fictionalized accounts of prehistoric people, books by Dean Koontz, Tony Hillerman, Faye Kellerman and James Patterson. I enjoy all types of music but haven't played the piano in years -I'll get back to it some day. I'm definitely improving with age.
