Maxine's Story
Left PHS just before graduation to live with family in Reno. Hated it and returned 3 months later. Actually have a diploma from both high schools. Didn't move away until 1973. Studied accounting. Worked in Reno and Albuquerque until 2007 when I had my last back surgery. I have 2 children Tamara will be 34 in December is a high school teacher. dscaping company and is certified in electricity, plumbing, gas and is an EMT. My husband Bruce owned his own heating and cooling company when we met. He graduated from Embrey Riddle with a degree in airplane mechanics and management. Currently Bruce and I are living in our empty nest with our pet Copper, a blue healer/shepherd mix. All I ever tell my kids is that "there's no place like home!" which to me will always s be Lake Hiawatha. And I do miss it so.
