Meg's Story
Life
I've been married to Alan for 19 years now. We have three children; Austin 18, Sawyer 16, and Kelsey 15. We live near Charlotte, NC. We have our own business, which I work for in management and I attend CPCC. Our business is in construction and we install ceramic tile, marble, stone and hardwood flooring in new homes.
We met in the US Navy in 1987 and have been together ever since. My three kids and their dad are trumpet players. My husband and middle son also play guitar. We are into music and world travel and intercultural exchange. My mom still lives in Belmont, but I NEVER see anyone from high school, as I am only there briefly. d general nuts out there nowadays. I fondly remember the grand opening of McDonald's in Belmont! We used to ride our bikes all over town and felt safe. God, I loved those chicken McNuggets!!! Can you believe Belmont still has a Drive-In?! We took our kids there once. I feel we had a pretty good start in life growing up in Belmont; even though I grew up on a Mill Hill! We were able to experience some freedom to explore and figure out things on our own. Life is good...
I moderate a Middle School Book Club and have ambitions of writing stories/books for the Young Adult genre. I enjoy it so much. It keeps me young and helps me remember what it was like to be young, once.
I travel some, but would like to more. I love meeting new people and learning their stories.
