Megan's Story
Life
I've been married one year to Gabriel Edwards (Class of '95). It has been the most amazing year of my life! We now have a daughter, 10-month-old Natalie Grace Edwards. I graduated from Ashland University in 2001 with a BS degree in Criminal Justice, minor in Journalism. Since graduating college, I've worked as a reporter at The Daily Record newspaper in Wooster, which was such an awesome job. I also was an event planner at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Ashland. I am currently the business reporter at the Ashland Times-Gazette, working with some fellow AHS grads. Yes, I still live in Ashland (I know...in high school, I always said I was leaving...hopefully I will, eventually, when Natalie is a little older!) My goal is to work for C...Expand for more
hicago Tribune, or some major city paper, or magazine. In the past four years, I have changed tremendously and am not the person I was in high school, or even college. The one thing I hate about seeing people I haven't seen in awhile is that they assume I'm still the old Megan, without getting to know me now. That's small-town life and mentality, I guess! I'm domesticated...no more partying! Instead, I love spending time watching my daughter grow every day, and spending time with my husband, whom I get to know better each and every day.
So, I hope to hear from my old friends out there! And I hope to hear from even those people who didn't know me well way back when but would like to get to know me now! Take care and keep reaching for the stars!
